Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Business Litigation Attorney to manage and represent clients in a wide range of business disputes. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling complex commercial cases, including breach of contract, partnership disputes, fraud claims, business torts, and corporate governance matters. You will be a key part of a collaborative litigation team working on high-stakes cases for clients ranging from emerging startups to large corporations.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in all phases of business litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
Manage and resolve complex commercial disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, business torts, partnership disputes, and more.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, helping them navigate disputes effectively, whether through settlement or litigation.
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents.
Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop litigation strategies.
Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and other alternative dispute resolution methods.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic recommendations.
Collaborate with colleagues within the firm to achieve client objectives and drive successful outcomes.
Stay current on legal trends and developments in business litigation and related fields.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in California.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in business litigation with a proven track record in handling complex commercial disputes.
Strong understanding of business law, civil procedure, and litigation processes.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.
Experience managing all aspects of litigation, from initial case evaluation to trial and appeal.
Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines efficiently, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to client service and delivering high-quality work.
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to working with colleagues, clients, and other professionals.
