Design Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role requires proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed designs and documentation that meet project requirements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and design new products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Develop and refine concepts for new product design through optimal technology selection to meet or exceed commercial requirements; exposure to and/or basic understanding of principles associated with electro-mechanical/hydraulic devices
Conduct design reviews and present concepts to stakeholders.
Design and/or develop specifications for emergency handling equipment.
Exposure to or direct responsibility for the design of electrical assemblies.
Assist in the development and implementation of design processes and standards.
Support manufacturing by resolving design-related issues and providing technical guidance.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in design engineering.
Experience with medical devices and/or ISO 13485 a plus; exposure to or ability to adapt to design/re-design of FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, MDD 93/42/EEC, MDR compliant products.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Design Engineer or similar role in product design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Familiarity with design standards such as ISO, FDA, and MDR.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
