Job Title: Estimator - Commercial Construction 
Job Location: Coppell, TX 
Salary: Competitive Salary DOE, Benefits, 401k Match, Bonus Potential 
Requirements: 5+ Years Experience estimating for commercial construction projects 

Position Overview
The Estimator for Commercial Construction is responsible for accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates to support the bidding process. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations, along with strong analytical skills to ensure profitable project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Conduct site analyses to gather data for accurate estimations.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals and deliver them within specified deadlines.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Perform material takeoffs and quantify the required resources for the project.
  • Assess risks and provide risk management solutions during the estimation process.
  • Utilize construction management software and tools, including AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel, for efficient estimation and project tracking.
  • Implement value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an estimator in commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
