Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and is eager to take on complex commercial matters. The ideal candidate will have experience representing businesses in commercial disputes and the ability to work collaboratively with our team while handling cases from inception through trial.
Responsibilities:
-Represent clients in a wide range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, business torts, shareholder disputes, and employment matters.
-Manage a diverse caseload and assist clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-suit strategy and discovery to trial and appeal.
-Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
-Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as appropriate.
-Work closely with partners and senior attorneys in preparing and presenting cases.
-Maintain client relationships and provide timely communication regarding case developments.
Qualifications:
-J.D. from an accredited law school.
-Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
-3+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
-Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
-Experience with deposition preparation, trial preparation, and courtroom experience is preferred.
-A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively.
