Looking for an Estimator to focus on work in the Commercial Masonry sector, working in a team to put together estimates ranging in value up to $20M.
As a Project Estimator, your main responsibility will be to compile estimates for the cost of work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Included in this will be the estimation of labor, material, equipment, and time requirements in order to compute the overall cost and duration of the project.
Project Types: Schools, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Retail, Restaurants, Office Buildings
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all responsibilities of a Project Estimator including but not limited to the following:
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
- Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
- Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
- Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
- Prepare conceptual estimates
- Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules
- Submit requisitions for the purchase of materials
- Compare competitive specialist and material
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related is preferred.
- 3+ years Estimating projects for reputable General Contractors/Subcontractors
- Commercial Masonry Experience
