Position Overview
The Principal Engineer, IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure. This role aims to optimize performance, enhance security, and ensure the reliability of our systems while supporting the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions that meet organizational needs.
Manage and optimize virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V.
Design and implement network architecture and load balancing solutions.
Oversee the deployment and management of cloud services in AWS, GCP, and Azure AD/Entra.
Ensure security protocols are integrated into the infrastructure design and implementation.
Develop disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular testing and updates.
Automate system processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Monitor system performance and conduct tuning to optimize resource use.
Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure processes and systems.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure infrastructure solutions align with project management goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a related field.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Proficiency in network design and implementation.
Understanding of security protocols and best practices.
Experience in systems architecture and performance tuning.
Familiarity with disaster recovery concepts and implementation.
Strong automation and scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Excellent project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
