Our company is a third-generation, family-owned design-build firm specializing in commercial and industrial construction. With over 50 years of experience serving the Carolinas and Florida, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects in self-storage, medical, office, retail, industrial, and other sectors.
Because of our growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
As Project Manager, you will collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and scope of work.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project costs, approve expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, contract specifications, and local building codes.
Permitting & Compliance: Manage permits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of site superintendents and subcontractors.
Problem Solving: Address project challenges efficiently to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, preferably in a design-build environment.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software (Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project), and budgeting tools.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
