We are a small family owned and operated construction company in Temple, TX and looking to grow our team. Most of our builds are in the SFR space, but we also have some commerical and multifamily properties.
What You Will Be Doing
Develop a project schedule from bid document information.
Prepares cost estimates and bid documents for construction projects or services that are used by management in preparation of the bidding process.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of estimate and proposals.
Provide complete conceptual (or bid work) and final estimating input on complex projects.
Price general conditions and manpower projections.
Write proper scopes of work during bidding phase and upon award, engage in Subcontractor Proposal Review meetings, with ultimate responsibility of final evaluation and negotiation of Subcontracts.
Obtain and evaluate comparative quotations for materials and sub-contractor services.
Demonstrate a knowledge of contract structure, business law, insurance and bonding issues.
What You Need for this Position
- Must have at least 3 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in single family residential
- Able to interpret construction documents and related materials.
- Experienced with Hyphen Solutions, ProBuild
- Prior construction experience is a plus (laborer etc)
