Senior Controls Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead our control systems projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in controls engineering and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that enhance our manufacturing processes and product quality. This position requires a strategic thinker who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of automation control systems for manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to integrate control systems into production environments
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems for improved performance and reliability
- Prepare and maintain documentation for control systems, including specifications, drawings and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including NEC, ISA, and IEEE
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in control systems engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in controls engineering, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in control system development using Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms
- Familiarity with NEC, ISA, and IEEE standards
- PE license (preferred)
- Experience with fabrication and PCS hardware is preferred
- Knowledge of Emerson Delta control systems is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
