Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant with a CPA designation to join our growing finance and public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, compliance, and tax planning activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make significant contributions while leveling up your own career trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards
Manage and oversee tax planning and compliance processes
Assist in external audits and prepare necessary documentation
Utilize tax software such as Thomson Reuters, Axcess, and Checkpoint for tax preparation
Provide support for engagement accounting and assist clients with confidential data management
Ensure all financial operations are completed within deadlines
Collaborate with team members to improve financial reporting processes and accuracy
Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required ( or exams scheduled)
5+ years experience in public accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
Experience with tax software such as Thomson Reuters, Axcess, or Checkpoint is a plus
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience in financial statement preparation and auditing is preferred
