Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent for our Marine Construction projects. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing various marine construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of marine construction projects including dredging, pile driving, and underwater blasting.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during construction operations.
- Supervise and train construction crews, providing guidance on techniques and safety practices.
- Plan and implement logistics for underwater drilling, excavation, and salvage operations.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, reporting on progress to senior management.
- Manage the installation and maintenance of marine infrastructure such as in-water pipelines, rock breakwaters, and fuel systems.
- Conduct regular site inspections and assessments to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in marine construction or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of underwater construction techniques including blasting and drilling.
- Familiarity with dredging, pile driving, and excavation processes.
- Experience in managing large-scale marine construction projects from inception to completion.
- USACE Credentials would be a plus
- Some Heavy Civil background would help
- Relevant certifications in construction safety, marine operations, or related fields.
