Position Overview
The Superintendent - Power Generation is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of power generation facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role involves managing teams, developing project plans, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability in power generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of power generation facilities to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and effectively allocate resources for optimal performance of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving for operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and effective resolutions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for operational and maintenance activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards pertaining to power generation operations.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align project objectives and operational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in power generation operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Expertise in safety compliance and risk management in power generation.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems used in power generation.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and development.
  • Solid budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to manage operational costs effectively.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards related to power generation.
  • A commitment to process improvement and energy management strategies.
