Position Overview
The Transportation Manager will oversee and optimize the transportation operations within the organization, ensuring efficient delivery of goods while maintaining a high level of safety and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing logistics, coordinating with various teams, and implementing strategies to improve overall transportation processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transportation strategies to enhance delivery operations.
• Manage and supervise the transportation team, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Utilize routing software to optimize delivery routes and reduce transportation costs.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including OSHA standards.
• Handle purchase orders, invoicing, and billing discrepancies to streamline financial processes.
• Coordinate final mile delivery operations and oversee delivery routes.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers, ensuring they understand their routes and responsibilities.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for transportation operations.

Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination (DOT Standards)
• Proactive mindset - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Have managed a team of 10+ delivery drivers and dispatchers
• Strong skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with routing software such as Roadnet Anywhere ideally.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of fleet management and performance management best practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance, including OSHA standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
