Traveling Roofing Superintendent - Red Iron/Welding

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Roofing Superintendent with expertise in red iron and welding to oversee roofing projects across various locations. The successful candidate will ensure that all roofing operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while managing a team and coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate roofing projects on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to guide the team effectively.
Lead a team of roofing professionals, providing direction and support to meet project goals.
Manage project scheduling, ensuring timely completion of tasks while minimizing downtime.
Estimate costs for materials and labor, working within budget constraints.
Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts quickly and efficiently to maintain project workflow.
Prepare reports and communicate progress updates to management and clients.
Ensure compliance with federal regulations and safety standards, including EM-385 guidelines.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Superintendent in the roofing industry, specifically with red iron and welding projects.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and construction management principles.
Experience with metal roofing and sheet metal work is preferred.
Demonstrated ability in quality control and problem-solving on construction sites.
Excellent team leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in scheduling and cost estimation processes.
Familiarity with government projects (USACE, NAVFAC) and commercial roofing operations.
Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
